Dr. Ashley Rusnak was born in Moorhead, MN. She became interested in chiropractic after being injured as a nursing aid and ended up with severe neck problems and carpal tunnel syndrome. After many sleepless and painful nights, she visited her local chiropractor. To her surprise, she received long term relief with chiropractic care. Following this experience she continued her undergraduate studies at the University of Minnesota and graduated with honors with a degree in Human Biology.
Dr. Mark Rusnak is from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He comes from a large family of many medical doctors and always knew he wanted to help people in a unique and effective way. He attended the University of Manitoba and graduated with honors with a degree in Microbiology.
Drs. Ashley and Mark Rusnak later met at Northwestern Health Sciences University in the chiropractic program. After four years of intensive studies, both doctors graduated at the top of their class with magna cum laude honors. Dr. Mark was then asked to become an associate chiropractor for one of the largest clinics in San Diego County, so they moved and Dr. Ashley went into private practice for the next two years. After being married in September 2006 they decided to relocate to the “Emerald City” to be closer to friends and family, for their love of the outdoors, and a better quality of life to raise their family.
Drs. Rusnak have furthered their education in the fields of general chiropractic, pediatric and pregnancy chiropractic, clinical nutrition, weight management, athletic injuries, car accident and whiplash cases, work injuries, and rehabilitation.
Dr. Ashley Rusnak focus in practice is treating Fibromyalgia and chronic pain patients. The Fibromyalgia Solutions program was designed to give these patients a way to cope and recover from their pain.
Dr. Mark Rusnak focus in practice is treating Car Accident and Work Injury patients. His past experience in working in an injury clinic in San Diego sparked his interest in these cases. He has been able to greatly help the patients while dealing with the demands of insurance companies, lawyers, and the paperwork needed to properly process these cases.
Drs. Rusnak are board certified and take a comprehensive approach to health and wellness using chiropractic, muscular and nutritional therapies. They take time to thoroughly listen to your health concerns and, when necessary, utilize diagnostic tests to identify the cause of the illness. They use natural, safe therapies to restore the body’s ability to heal.
Drs. Rusnak are members of the Des Moines Rotary and the National Fibromyalgia Association. Dr. Ashley Rusnak is also a certified RPM (cycling) instructor and teaches at Normandy Park Athletic Club.
Drs. Ashley and Mark Rusnak are here to serve the community. They enjoy donating and volunteering for local organizations in Normandy Park, Des Moines, and Burien areas. Their practice is based on values, providing quality care with honesty, integrity and outstanding results.
